The Museum of Black Civilisations

6 déc. 2018 · Dakar

Opened on 6 December 2018 in Dakar, the Museum of Black Civilisations brought to life an idea first proposed in 1966 by Léopold Sédar Senghor at the first World Festival of Black Arts. Vast and modern, it celebrates the history, art and genius of Black civilisations. A symbol of African pride, it is meant to house the African artworks returned by Europe.
