Ancient Human Presence
~100 000 BC · Thiès
A hundred thousand years ago, long before kingdoms and empires, people already lived on this land. At Tiemassass, in the Thiès region, their stone tools have been found. These stones are the earliest traces of a human presence on the soil of present-day Senegal.
