Khelcom — the domain of Serigne Saliou Mbacké

Serigne Saliou Mbacké, fifth Khalife General of the Mourides, developed at Khelcom a vast agricultural estate of about 45,000 hectares in the Mbacké region. The project embodied the Mouride principle of working the land as an act of devotion. Serigne Saliou Mbacké also had an Islamic university and a hospital built in Touba.
